Default Something Different From My EQ5

I drew up a new block in my quilt program. I turned every other one on its side, which truly pleases my eyes.

I do not actually have these fabrics, but I'm sure I could get close. Or maybe I could somehow do it as a scrappy.

What a great layout! I love your color choices. It looks almost tribal. I see tiki torches & Hawaiian dancers!

I like your new block and especially the colors. The drawing is pretty, but I just don't think you can sew the block with the way you have the pieces designed. There is no way to maintain a 1/4 inch seam in the inside corners of the L shaped blocks and the flying geese pieces. Thought you would want to know before you start cutting your fabric.

great design! I think it will make a great quilt scrappy or with the 4 colours.
How did you plan to handle the area Barb in Louisiana mentioned? I think if you treat each quarter of a block as 4 rows rather than an "L" shape and a flying geese block it works. Can't wait to see the finished quilt.
