Check out Craftsy Block of the month. The month of July 2013 she shows you how to do tumbling blocks with no Y seams just straight stitching. I love her videos and they are free. Good luck.

I made several of these a few years ago, but haven't yet found a place to put them. I love things like this. I used six fabrics for mine. Three darks for the outside and three different lights for the inside. I put the lightest light on the "floor" and the lightest dark for the top.

Just ordered the Geometric Gems by Cathy Wierzbicke from "half.com" for 9.97 +3.00 shipping!!! That's less than 13.00!! YEAH Half.com usually has the books I'm looking for at a Very Good price...better than amazon.

That's is a good price, considering that you can pay that amount for just one pattern. I didn't know Half.com was still around. I have lots of books to sell. Thanks for the reminder.

So, I can see how to make the cube but how do you connect them? Am I seeing another triangle to connect?

Here is a block I made for a Boom I was in earlier this year:

from the ABC book from Alicias Attic.

It was fun although I had to add a little extra on the sides to make it 12 1/2".
