Thank you all. When I say back of beyond we are one step above nothing. Our Wal Mart finally put the other local grocery out of business. Our local quilt shop is more interested in yarn than quality fabric. Coming from California it is quite a culture shock. I am learning to do more online shopping than ever before. Thank you for this board and all it’s fantastic info.

I quit using starch when I found out that silverfishes thrive on the corn starch. Dinner for them. Switched to Mary Ellen's Best Press.

2 cups distilled water, 20 drops of lavender essential oil, and 2 oz of vodka, is the recipe I have. The vodka is only used to keep the water and essential oil from separating. I use it also for ironing my blouses and my husbands shirts, and our closets certainly have a nice scent....

I live in the south where humidity drips. I have never had a bug problem in my fabric. Silverfish loves dark humid places like drains, especially floor drains. I think if you have a basement , but basements are very rare in the south, there may be a problem silverfish.
