Default Homespun/Flannel Fabric

Have collected a good amount of homespun and flannel, and now its time to make a quilt. Any suggestions on an old fashioned looking pattern with homespun and flannel? Like Grama would make.

I have a UFO that is a fun, "Hobo Quilt," that I need to finish. Each block is a different sign that was used in the 1930's hobo culture and their secret language. http://www.amazon.com/Hobo-Quilts-Or.../dp/1440204128

It's looking great with the homespuns and men's flannels. I otta get on that and finish it.

Wild8580 did a fantastic Pineapple quilt out of recycled shirts. I think Pineapple and Log Cabin quilts both look good using plaids. Here is the link to the Pineapple quilt: http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...e-t254529.html
