    I haven't worked with homespun but I've used a walking foot whenever sewing fleece because it slips a lot otherwise.
    Maybe the walking foot would work with homespun also.

    My SIL made a quilt using both cotton and homespun for her grandson. The borders were all homespun. When we put it on the frame to machine quilt it, the border stretched horribly! We tried to work out the folds as we went but weren't able to get them all. Neither of us will use homespun in a large quilt ever again.
