I made three 3" squares, folded to triangles and layered them according to the pic. If you do them raw edge, just trim anything sticking out a little and sew on up.

This would make great gifts for all the ladies I work with for Christmas. Bookmark this one for sure.

Love those! Thanks for sharing! A friends husband just died- I think ties or his shirts would make a great gift for her and the kids! Thanks!

No pattern needed. Cut 3 each 4" squares, back them with something like interfacing. Fold into triangles and zigzag or blanket stitch around two sides. Cut a 5 point star for a placement guide, lay triangles out one at at time. One star point will have two triangle points. Use that point as the top where your hanging cord is placed.

Finish the center as this gal did and add button. I'm doing mine with a button on one side and then "tack" the button, tying the tack on the side opposite the button. Place a hanging cord on the double point and you're good to go.

Remember these are NOT my stars. I copied them from someone here last winter. Love the stars for what they are. AND for the wonderful use of scraps.

Hopefully the gal who made them will raise her hand!
