Honeybuns are great for log cabin blocks.

I found 2 honeybuns for half price last fall. It was one of those purchases that I really didn't know what I was going to do with. My dining room is red, white, and blue, so this is what I came up with. I took all the scraps from the blocks and made the border. I had maybe 3-4 inches of fabric left. I had to use packaged binding cause there was nothing left.
I use it as a table topper on an antique drop leaf table.

sure, why wouldn't it be a good idea? after all, they are all cut for you, so a time saver, and usually coordinated...i think it sounds like a great time saving idea

Beautiful and patriotic topper.
In answer to your question, I have not.

Beautiful quilt! Can you tell me the dimentions of your log cabin quilt? I am trying to figure out if I need to buy additional honey buns. I have two of Moda's summer fun.

Also, did you cut the logs to size or do it the quilt-in-a-day method?

Thanks!
