I have a Bernina 820. You can find the total number of stitches and the number of stitches since the last maintenace in the setup program. It's one of the last screens (or pages) in the program. If you have an 820 or 830, I can tell you exactly where it is, but I'm not sure about other models.

I know there is a way to tell the hours on the 440QE because when I bought mine from the dealer the teck told me there was 17 hrs. The person who had it traded up. I don't know how to tell but I am sure mine has thousands now.
