Default how big a square should prairie points be cut?

I made the Thimbleberries Christmas quilt and it has been quilted. I want to finish it off with prairie points, which I have never done. I don't know what size to cut the squares. It is a queen size spread.
Thanks.

I used 3.5 inches but there is not a rule you have to follow.

Thanks Tex! Very good links, one I had seen before but both answer my question perfectly! Now I don't have any other excuses to try and get it finished! lol

When in doubt, I cut scrap PAPER and fold to see how big I want the prairie points. No fabric wasted.
