Hell everyone,
I am wondering if anyone can tell me how I would calculate the yardage of fabric needed to make a table runner and six place mats. I am planing on making Dresden Plates. Runner would be 13" X 40" and six place mats at 12" X 17", and there would be 16 "petals" for each plate. So 9 Dresden plates would be made in total! Please can someone help me!!

Are you going to make the Dresden plate petals all different colours? Are you going to appliqué the plate to a background fabric or do just plates? Is the table runner going to be 2 solid pieces of fabric, front and back or are you going to add Dresden plates to the ends? Inquiring minds need to know a little more details.
I have a pattern for 4-141/2 Dresden plates and a 15X43 tablerunner and 4 napkins. Adding up the amounts are about 8 fat quarters(4 of those for napkins) 4 and 1/2 yards of main fabric.
