Thanks to everyone who replied! I am ready to tackle it! I agree that it shouldn't be too difficult - your explanations made a lot of sense to me and I know I can do this!! Thanks again so much for your help!!! Hugs, Sharon

Thanks, Ann!! I read the craftsy blog and bookmarked it. I'll probably try this method when I make my own quilt with prairie points. Wish my customer would have waited but I think it will work out perfect. Now I'm just getting ready to confirm a decision on design. Thanks again! Hugs, Sharon

I'm totally confused by this! Will watch it closely to see how to do this. Would seem it would be easier to attach the prairie points AFTER the quilting is done? wouldn't it be attached WITH the binding like a flange could be?

Yes - definitely would be easier (especially for the longarm quilter - ME) if the prairie points were put on after the quilt top was quilted. Unfortunately, that isn't how the customers did these quilts. I am almost done quilting the first one and though it took a long time to hand baste those prairie points down, it is quilting wonderfully!! I'm having a blast and hopefully will be able to post a picture to show the final result. Thanks to everyone for all of the help!!
