Default How do I make this interesting?

I had these scraps left form my table runner. I made 3 of these and backs for pot holders and they are 11 inches square. How would I cut this top fabric and sew back together to make it more interesting. I have drawn a blank. I want to do this just to the top and I will cut the 11 inch backs down to size. Do you have any ideas?

How about cutting in quarters and rotating the quarters, one the way it is, one 90 degrees, one 180 degrees and one 270 degrees. Or any other rotation pattern that looks good. Then sew back together.

I would move the red strip to the other side and then cut like bjchad said. I couldn't stand to cut up those little bugs anymore.

Make it the way it is and add interest with quilting.
