It isn't crazy to listen to your quilts. They really do tell you what they want to grow up to be.

I sometimes use decorative stitches when I don't feel comfortable with FMQ

When you do decorative stitches on a quilt, can you use the walking foot or do you have a special foot for that?

hmmmm. I don't feel comfortable doing anything other than FMQ!!!!! I have a mid-arm, and every time I try to do something fancy, I screw up!

Frances -- you have to use a special foot. The walking foot won't give you enough freedom to move around. I can't think what it's called though!!!!

It doesn't happen to be the same foot you would use for FMQ, would it?.....I think that is called the "darning foot".
