I had it and now it is gone. :-( I don't know what happened.

You have to post 20 times (I think) within 2 weeks and continue doing that to maintain the "regular" status.
I could be wrong, but it's something like that.

Well, now it says it again. That's just a little strange. LOL!

    No glitch.

    It's not a permanent status - like tenure. ;-)

As AlwaysQuilting said upthread, you have to always have a minimum of 20 posts within the last 14 days to maintain "regular" status.

If you fall below that, the "regular" will disappear. Post some more and it will be back the morning following the day you hit the 20 mark again. The system updates automatically at 5:30AM PST.

Oh, and posts in the Classified section don't count towards the 20 posts.

    Dems the rules. ;-)

The reasoning behind that makes sense. Whatever perks go along with the "regular" status should only be available to those consistently contributing members. And I guess the only to measure that is by posts.

    Are there any perks?
Or is it just the perk of a visual recognition here on the Boards?

It is ONE of the prerequisites to being allowed to post For Sale items in the Classifieds section.

Other than that, I'm not aware of any. Doesn't mean, though, that there aren't additional perks.

I have never cared what my status is, as I can come on the board anytime, anyway. I can be extremely frustrated or really enjoy my time on the board.

Thank you, thank you. It's my favorite.

Let's hijack the thread for a second. ;-)

The quilt is the result of a Round Robin back in 2001/2 with 4 buddies - all of us at the time quilting newbies. And very, very clueless. I have to laugh now at just how clueless we were.

Sorry for the lousy picture. I really need to get a better lit shot.

Returning the thread to it's regularly scheduled topic. ;-)

MTS--that quilt is beautiful. Some of the rows are so different. Something that I would never use, but looks great on that quilt. I guess that's the beauty of a round robin.

MTS--you may have been clueless, but it is amazing. I love dark backgrounds. You must have selected the hardest project for a newby--all those points, wow.
