I'm wanting to make a quilt from several pieces of my own chenille fabric. Has anyone here done this?

Would I simply pin two pieces right sides together and sew, like for ordinary fabric?

That's what I did for a little quilt I made for my grand daughter. Yep!, it's bulky but I didn't know any other way to handle. Overall, it turned out fine.

I use chenille as a border in a baby quilt pattern I make. I just sew it like regular fabric - right sides together. Never had any problems. I've also used fleece & minkee for the same pattern. Same deal - sew it like regular fabric.
