All of her corners and points are really nice but I suspect it is a little hard to get them to turn out so nice. I am a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to quilting and struggle a bit with that. If anyone knows the dimensions I would cut if I want a 6 inch finished block I would be grateful.

Large triangle cut from 6 7/8 sq (HST), small white side triangles from 3 7/8 sq., and small square 3,5"-
Stictg side triangles to either side of small square, sew this unit (made of hst+square+hst) to large triangle as if you were piecing a large HST . The quilt is made of these blocks,

Thanks Hevemi. Do you know the name of this block? I would like to research it and see if there is a calculator or formula to use to determine the sizes of the pieces to end up with various sized blocks. I may want to do something smaller like 5 inches or even 4 inches. Thanks.

There is a terrific book by Sally Schneider called TRIANGLE TRICKS that not only gives you many patterns using this block, but also has a chart telling you how to make it in sizes from 2" to 12". It is one of my all time favorite books in quilting. Hope you can find it, maybe the library?
