Hate to say what I tried...I sprayed a light mist of Fabreeze on some paper towels, then laid them in between the pages, & moved the 4 paper towels around between many other pages, if only for less than a minute. I think the book is much better, but it's sad how perfect the condition was, other than that one flaw. Hope the smell doesn't come back later on. I think the dryer sheet might have been a safer bet. Thanks

I have threatened my son, Tubby the Shih Tsu with castration if he so much as even LOOKS like he wants to hike that little leg in my house. Works really well cause he never has and he's eight. My little boy Raymond the tom cat had to have the threat carried out because he is hard of hearing.
But, I use Gain detergent and put some vinegar in the first rinse and the Downy in the second. it works for me.

For the 2.5" squares I would put them in a mesh lingere laurndry bag to wash them.

i have cats and that happen to me before :thumbdown: i use vinegar and bakingsoda plus the regular detergent worked for me

a supersoaker 5000 can train dogs and cats both. i taught my cat to sleep at night (or at least not to nut up and keep me up) with one when i had a one room efficiency apartment. that is one mega watergun. it'll shoot 20ft.

all good hunts but I would add to hung it outside to air dry. that way if it do not all come out the frist time you have not set it in. and thing from the line smells great. good luck.

Use vinegar with your detergent.
As a previous Red Cross worker, we would advise fire victims to use this to clean salvagable clothing. It is a good cleaner for household items.
