    I am doing some hand quilting and not sure how to knot the thread in the beginning and the end. I certainly don't want the thread coming out later.

    Sounds as though we're getting married to our quilts. Well, yes, I guess we are. We fondle the fabrics, spend a lot of time making piece with them, then go to bed with them. Tying the knot is quite descriptive. :lol:

    Look for instructions how to make the quilter's knot. It's simple but hard to explain without pictures or video. To finish off the end thread I use Clover Soft touch thread pick, after taking a small back stitch, it's the easiest way for me.
