I started a One Block Wonder a long time ago. I did not enjoy the process, so after cutting and sewing a whole bunch, I tossed them in a bag. I've pulled them out and made this instead and I've used the triangles for the border.
I'm trying to figure out how to secure the edges of the border as I unroll it on the long arm.
Do you think basting close to the edge is going to be doable?
Or, I thought I could baste along the edge of the quilt body and then use a 505 glue stick to nail down each triangle before I quilt it?
I am just going to do a line of quilting about 1/2" in.
Am I overthinking this?

PS...I did a sample and yes, this is bind-able....it's just going to take the rest of my life.
PPS...the border is just laying on the table here...it isn't sewn on yet.

Your glue stick idea should work, seems to me.
But ... you're really planning to bind along that edge? yikes. Is there some way you could face the pointy part before assembling, so it wouldn't need binding?

I often use 505 0n the long arm without any issues. It should work fine.

If I had to face binding that it would NEVER get done lol. While you didn't as for options, I like cat an a mac's idea - if it is not already attached, I think I too would face it, leave it off, quilt the top up to 1/2 of the edge of the quilt, trim the backing (leaving enough to fold under) , sew the pointy border on the front, pressing the seam to the back and sew the backing by hand to the stitch line on the borders. The points would be soft without batting but might look fine??

I sometimes pin these type of edges and remove the pins as needed, but I like the other ideas posted here too... good luck!
