I quilt all mine on my Janome 6500. That includes a few kingsize ones. I love my 6500.

I FMQ with my Bernina 830 or my old traveling machine a Bernina 1530. Sometimes its a challenge but it takes lots of practice to get smooth stitches and I am still learning after several years of free motion quilting.

I made a wall hanging for my DD and a table topper for myself, entirely by hand, the piecing and the quilting. I've made three baby quilts entirely on the sewiing machine. I must say, the machine is really faster!!! I am currently working on another baby quilt and have a fifth one to complete, which will both be done on the machine.

I would like to make a queen sized quilt for my MIL, but would want to do it by hand because she is pretty old-fashioned where quilting is concerned. I am concerned about the time the quilting would take, though. Maybe if I start it very soon, I could get it done by next Christmas, but I do have a few other things I want to do. Well, maybe if I don't do any sleeping for several months I could do it!

I quilt all mine. Also would have a long arm in a heart's beat, but no place to put it, nor can I afford it. I use my regular machine with a walking foot and the Brother 1500 short arm and just do regular quilting, nothing fancy. I have done hand quilting, but prefer the machine so I can get it done. Have stacks of tops to get quilted this year, so have to get going on them.

I've done all of my own FMQ so far, I don't have a walking foot so ditch stitching is a pitb. I've made a ton of quilts, I think my current machine has the biggest throat space of any I've owned, it's a New Home 6000. I haven't done a king but I've done full & queens. The one (baby) quilt I started hand quilting was for my first dd, born 14 yrs ago...it's still not done, LOL. Occasionally I tie a quilt, that's about all the handwork my hands can take.
