Smile How many quilts are in your Pity Party stash?

I went to a quilt retreat last weekend and finished the fifth and final quilt for my niece's children. Toward the end of the retreat I was squaring up another quilt and accidentally sliced a piece off the bottom. :0( Now I have to do some ripping and specialized-piecing to get it back into shape. That quilt is going into my pity party stash until I get over it. There are only two in the stash; so that's not bad. )

How many quilts do you have in your pity party stash?

If I make a boo boo, I immediately fix it even if I would rather stash it away. I know it will become a UFO if I leave it.

I am finishing the last of my old pity party quilt tops today. It is hard to force yourself to go back and use them when something bugs you about them. But, I agree with Tartan. Fix it right away. Then it doesn't become a lost item for years. (Like mine).

I try not to leave any undone, but now that I've finished the Vintage Tractor quilt, I've got to finish the Mariner's Compass quilt I started for our bed 5-1/2 years ago. As other quilts were needed, I put ours off to get them made & now I'm finally going to finish it!! Kind of exciting really!! DH bought me a ruler foot & templates for Christmas and I'm going to use them on the Mariner's! :-)

I correct it, after I cool down at being mad at myself. To me it's part of the process to make mistakes as frustrating as they are. If I put it away, it will be a monkey on my back.

Two and I'm thinking of sending one of them to the Goodwill. The one I want to keep and finish was an early one with lots of problems. I did finish one pity party lately and it felt really, really good.

I have lots of pity parties in my sewing room. Sometimes nothing will do but wad the item up and trash it.
