I sent 2 on April 2nd. One blue and one red. No acknowledgement as of today. I took 8 print outs and large addressed evnelopes to my ASG quilt group on April 1. Won't know until the May meeting if anyone sent one in... I hope there is some future posting about how many blocks they received and ultimately how many quilts they were able to complete. I have a theory on the brown ink request... it is just that a theory. About the time that the Baltimore Album Quilts came into vogue (1840's?) a permanent BROWN ink was invented and was used in the album quilts for sketches, names and signatures. Maybe BROWN ink is thereby "historically" quilter's "choice". Don't know but it's a thought.

I have sent four. I got my pigma pen at my local quilting store. All I saw at JoAnn's was a set and did not want to do that route.

I made a total of 5, one for each member of my family that served. Instead of my name on the square I put theirs. I can not believe that they would not use the squares, and I used a black pen, because that is what I had.

Have you contacted Moda customer service? Luckily, my LQS had Micron Pigma pen sets that included brown, but I know many quilters couldn't get them.

I sent six to guild meeting last night. I am sure our guild is sending a bunch. I did it for our Vets not to get anything in return. However I can't wait to see some of the quilts made with the blocks. I know Moda will post some photos.
