How many . . . ?

I've been in a bit of a quilting slump. I've been knitting though. I love to knit in the evening.
I'm working on Cats in Pajamas quilt by Elizabeth Hartman. It's not hard but has a million pieces and I'm dragging my feet.
It's going to be so cute when finished.
Normally I have at least 2 or 3 going at once. I get bored with just one at a time.

We all have WIPS . . . those things that are called "in progress" but in reality may be languishing in a closet or drawer. But how many quilts are you actively working on at the present time? I'm in the midst of a Tiny Houses baby quilt, plus working on Bonnie Hunter's County Clare. I have also pulled fabrics for her Old Town challenge. I've lately also been fascinated with the possibilities of various settings with the square-in-a-square block and so have some of those up on the design wall. I love them all! Anybody else multi-tasking like this?

I just started another pixel quilt. First block completed! 100 pixels-3/4"! I must stay focused on one project at a time. I follow a chart of symbols for the colors, and I develop a memory for them while working.
I have rediscovered cross stitching in the evenings! I'm almost finished with a mandala fish. (possible next pattern for pixel quilt)
I also have completed the design for the next stained glass window. It's a 24" circle of scattered roses in a clear background. (It would also make a great applique for the center of a quilt!)
OK, I have been making "one hour" tote bags for the grocery store to avoid plastic bags. After a much needed expunging of oversized jeans in various colors, I cut the legs off to make them. I have over 20 pair that thankfully don't fit-too big, now!

I have one I designed myself but am having issues with one of the sashings between the blocks, can't get it to fit correctly so I put it away until I can sit down and really think about what I'm doing wrong. Then I have another one of Missour Quilts patterns but there's a lot of stitching the flaps on each block before I can attach the next row so it's been put aside, got bored with doing it over and over 4 times on each block. I get bored easily. I now working on a 4-part Optical Illusion pattern and am down to putting on the borders so this one should get done today..........YEAH. I also have one on the quilt frame that's been sitting there since 4/23 so it's almost completely done and I'll get back to it once I get this 4-patch put together. Won't tell you how many quilt tops I have hanging up waiting patiently to be quilted. Way too many and no more room for more to be hung alongside them either. But it's now getting chilly outside so I won't need to work outside in the gardens now so I won't have any excuse either not to work on them. My hope is to finish what's on the frame, finish the dino quilt for a little boy and a zebra fabric quilt and the 2 kitty quilts finished and sent to Virginia to a very dear friend. Hope she still likes zebras after all this time.

Last year the LQS issued a challenge. All participants picked up a sheet numbered from 1 - 12 and we were to write an unfinished project beside each number. On the first of each month a number was drawn and we had to complete whatever item was beside that number. I actually managed to clean up a lot of things over the 12 months. There was a draw at the end but I didn't win anything although overall I feel like I did win by finishing things. Somehow, though, I've managed to create chaos yet again.

I have fabric for six quilts all cut and waiting to be taken to Palm Desert where we spend the winter. I work on them almost every evening. Last year I pieced five of them and then brought them back home in the spring to be quilted on my longarm. I finished all five of those, finished three that I made completely this summer and quilted one quilt for a friend. So technically those six are all WIPs, I guess. Oh, and I have one that I'm piecing off and on this fall. It's a scrappy log cabin. So I guess I have seven WIPs. I do tend to work on one top until it is finished. I always look forward to spring when I can get them all quilted and bound. I do not like to have unfinished quilts laying around.

I have one close to being ready to quilt and one in the thought waves to start once this one is done. I have always started and complete one at a time, unless I'm making two of the same pattern/different fabric that were requested. I've done that 4 times, but also worked from start to finish on them in transom. .
