    Red face How many yards

I get coupons from JoAnns for 40% off and would like to use them on a basic white on white or what ever. What I would like to know is how many yards would you get? I have in mind some applique on squares. Maybe a full size bed. I would only need a general idea so to have on hand when needed.
I will thank you for any answer I get.

White is pretty versatile, goes with everything.....so I would buy what you can afford and then stash what is leftover!

I would recommend a white or white on white. Off-white is nice but then you have a problem later on trying to get something to go with it. (Anyway, I do.)

If you want to be conservative and not build too much stash , I would buy 5 yards or 6 yards. that would suit you well for any applique backgound fabric.
Just an FYI do check ahead and see if the fabric is on sale , if it is you can't use the 40 percent coupon. There is another coupon I just got that gives an extra 20 percent off including sale items.

If you are talking background then at minimum 6 yards. If you want to have plenty, buy the bolt!

I agree - you can't ever have too much white on white. Buy a bolt - it won't spoil.

That's what I've done, bought a couple of different patterns of white-on-white bolts. Allways good to have on hand.
