I only have 3 machines...I use my Janome 6600 at my summer home June to October and my Bernina for most of my productive sewing in the winter months. My third machine is another Janome but it must feel like the step-sister as it rarely gets used. I think I will get it set up and plugged in today...

I have been using my Pfaff exclusively since Covid. My other two machines, a featherweight for travel and a Viking that is just an old friend, are sitting idle. I suppose that it would be a good idea to pull out those two and give them a run. Honestly never gave it a thought.

I hadn't used my first machine for some time, it's good for piecing and other than a slight oil smell, worked fine. I prefer to clean/oil my machines before I start to sew and then just clean before I put it away.

I have machines I haven't used for years. Like my straight stitch only machines the best. They get oiled and cleaned often.

I switch off. I have my go to heavy duty machine that I love, and my newer lighter one. My heavy duty one is getting a workout now, as my hunting DH and DS always seem to break a zipper, tear quilted overalls, or need a clothing repair on the spot!

My go-to machine ( a Pfaff) recently just stopped working. The display will not light up, and foot pedal won't work. So I'm using my 301A. I wanted to use my Featherweight, but the baggie of feet for it has come up missing.

Purchased a very lightly used machine that had sat for 20 years in a closet -- took hundreds of dollars to clean and service. Now I make sure each of my machines gets a few hours use at least a couple times a year.

I haven't used my 15-91 in about 8 months. It is left up (it's in a cabinet) so I will remember to use it from time to time. My go to is the Janome MC6600 because it has a thread cutter and a needle threader (that I don't use as often, but I love the the thread cutter). My little FW gets used when I travel - same with my Europro. So this year - they have not been out of their carriers.

My Sewing Machine Repair guy showed me a belt that came off an old FW, it was stiff and brittle in the shape it's in on the machine. He said other than the belt the machine was in good shape. It was a white FW so I almost asked if it was for sale but refrained.

Honestly I probably because of my schedule use my secondary machine more than my primary the last 2 years

I have a mini-machine that does not need to be oiled, so I take it out once a month to run a few pieces through or if I need a fast clothes repair. I'll use all the stitches available just before I put it back up.
