Which one? I have a bin full that even have the backings waiting on me. In my defense though, I intend on Making a real effort this year. I am just waiting on an insert from arrow for the new sit-down quilting table I got for christmas.

I have one that is at least 20 yrs. old. I don't know if I will ever finish it. I fell out of love with it when I started it back in the day. Now when I pull down the bin of UFO's I just sort of pass it by. It is a 3-d block that is hand stitched then sewn in rows to make a more modern looking quilt. I took parts of it off and used some of it in another quilt but it is still a King size quilt as it stands.

Western Wilson - I have it on good authority (my dog's) that UFOs make awesome dog quilts. She loves hers!

Sewing pup - I'm with you. I have a quilt I started in 1983 that is waiting for me to return to. I was 7 or 8 when I started a crazy quilt after my grandmother's visit. Does that one count as a UFO or a first attempt at quilting that has been saved as a precious keepsake? I think I will stick with my oldest being from 1983. I am happy keeping all my projects near enough to me that they can be pulled out to play with when I have time. I have no burning desire to finish any one of them.

I thought I was going to have the oldest one because mine is from 1998 but then I saw that someone has something from 1979 so that makes me feel better. Mine is the very first quilt I ever made and at the time I hadn’t noticed that there was something wrong with my machine and the stitches were awful therefore I would have to pick out every single stitch! Now thinking about it maybe I will take it out and work on unpicking while I watch TV or something? We will see what happens.
