My DH knows any tools in my sewing room is way off limits. He never uses anything from that room.

My husband uses mine to cut paper and when he put film on our windows to keep out the intense sunlight in Fl, he used my rotary, mat, and ruler. (We spend part of the time in Fl) Although it makes the blades dull, it is a great tool for stuff like that.

Another post on QB stated that you can buy new blades at Harbor Freight. I forget what else they are used for, but I looked them up and the are 2 for $1.99. They come in size 45. The next time I need some, I am going with my husband to Harbor Freight. They also are listed on their web site.

Make sure they are pink and they won't be used. OR, buy the men their own!

Since my DH quilts too, he has his own sissors and ruler. He wouldn't dare touch a rotary cutter.

My husband picks up a scissor and before using always asks,

"is this a paper or a "do not use" pair????

There was my hubby, cutting table, cutting mat, ruler and rotary cutter. He was cutting window shade films for the spare bedroom and decided my quilting tools were exactly what he needed to get the job done. Not sure if it's good or bad to use my rotary cutter for cutting film. I may give him my cutter make him buy me a new one.

I should have taken a picture of him leaning over the cutting table, carefully using my quilting stuff. It would have made good blackmail material for his golfing buddies!

Any other hubbies who use your quilting tools? He's also used my scrapbooking tools. Don't men have their own tools???

When I have to replace a blade, I take the old one out and put it into an older cutter that I have kept for cutting paper or whatever.......

why not do that and give it to him for his very own rotary cutter and tell him you will give him additional blades later.

it can be your secret that they are your throw-aways......

Fortunately Hubby and I respect each others tools. We do ask to borrow.
We have a joke that he knew I was the "right one" because I had my own tool box.
Once he let me "borrow" a screwdriver and said don't get any ideas. Well I fell I love with it and asked for one for Christmas. DH was a mechanic so the guys gave him a hard time when he bought it for me. Said you are giving her a screwdriver? Are you nuts? You will get a divorce or get it shoved! LOL what did they know?
    Have a great day
