Hunter Star Guide
I made the quilt with the pattern with no problem. I made a templet of each pattern piece and cut away. It's easy to chain piece, goes togather rather fast. Turned out great. You can find the pattern free in many places on the net. Just google Hunter Star Pattern.

I don't know if it has any patterns in it--may be wrong but I think it just tells how much fabric to buy for various sizes of quilts using her rulers. I haven't seen inside nor do I have it but she recommended it to determine how much fabric needed if you didn't feel inclined to figure out how much using the formula on the directions that come with her ruler (Rapid Fire Hunter's Star)

I purchased the ruler but haven't used it yet. Here's a tutorial from this board...

Be sure and follow the link at the top of the tutorial to see her finished quilt. It's my favorite Hunter's star!

See if you can get Jan Krantz's book on the HS. She has about 5 different methods for making this block.
If you can at least look at it you will see what I mean. I wouldn't buy the tool personally, but that is just me.
I'm not home right now or i would go over her 5 methods here. Sorry.
