Default A hunter's quilt - need suggestion/ideas

Good morning, it's been a while since I have been on here but I knew I could turn to you for your ideas, suggestions, etc. This is supposed to be a queen size quilt but am at a lost what else to add on. The sewn part is 41"wide and 44"tall.

You could do a Hunter's Star around the sewn part. Jinny Beyer has some free patterns. There is another Hunter's Star I saw the other day. It was also a free pattern. Jinny Beyer had 2-3 different size blocks. You could also do a rail fence around.

I would bring in the dark green more. I like the idea of a Hunters star, you could add a bigger border with the dark green also. Very nice though.

I really like what you have done. How much bigger do you need. I'm thinking maybe another row of those square i a square blocks top & bottom ( if you need more length). Then a couple solid borders, don't want to detract from the center.

Nice so far - maybe a strip of that grayish blue or birch barky look between the outside squares in the squares and the dark border - so that they show more - and then light blue/gray, dark brown, and rust borders - and then a very dark brown brown or very dark green binding.

While I like the Hunters Star a lot and it is keeping in theme with the quilt, the design is really lost if several blocks aren't put together. I am thinking you could Flying geese around what you have already (for the Canada goose block) or maybe maple leaf blocks because most hunters are avid outdoorsman. Log cabins always look nice or draft up some pine tree blocks. Maybe this quilt I built around a panel will give you some ideas:

How about green and brown Bear Paw blocks around the center and then borders? Great start by the way!

I was thinking flying geese, too...I love the quilt with the trees around the center, too...also thought the idea of leaves sounded good.
