Default I can't figure it out!

I thought I might do the D4P from Quilting Quickly Winter 2013,pg 12. Had some precut squares, so did one and it just doesn't look right......the turning reassembling diagram doesn't match the finished drawing of quilt nor the picture of the quilt on the next page. Has anyone tried this......am I just loosing it? Look closely at the placement and tell me what you think...thanx

I'll have to see a picture of what your blocks look like. I have the magazine, the instructions seem okay to me. You have to rotate all the square pieces not the rectangle pieces. You must be overlooking a step?

While I don't have a copy of the mag you're referring to, I will gladly show you pics of the D4P process. The pic is after I made the 4 patch, cut 1" from both sides of the center seam - vertically and horizontally - then switched the strip units:

Hope this helps! Any other questions, just hollar! BTW - we have an awesome Disappearing Four Patch swap and would love you have you come play with us!

In the magazine, each block has a different rotation of pieces. Have you watched the video how to make it, that may help you.

Watching to see what advice is given on this. I'd like to try the D4 patch myself!
