What a sweet story. We all need a blankie now and then.

I was holding my breathe and envisioning the whole scene. You are not only an exceptional quilter, you are a wonderful story-teller. Great ending too.

Now you know why I make quilts for abused children. They don't have easy lives and a bright little quilt that is all theirs has to help. I give them to shelters and never hear that "thank you" or even know who they are but that doesn't matter. Those quilts are helping some little child.

    Thanks for sharing.

All of us make "comfort quilts" and we don't often see the recipients or hear what they liked about the quilt (or how it made them "feel"). -----so nice to hear about the "end" result!
