Default I found the penguin fleece!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was in our local wal mart last night buying groceries and passed by the fabric dept after 5 o'clock when no one is there working when I looked and saw a bolt wrapped still in the plastic and thought, mmmm that looks likes penguins. So I investigated and sure enough it was a 10 yard 60 in wide bolt for $4.44 a yard. Wow was I excited. Now to find some one to scan me a ticket. After having someone paged without any luck the employee that paged came back and I said I don't want it cut I want it all, he said I can do that. It scanned $25 for the whole bolt, I said that's not right it should be $44.40 he said it must be on sale, I said I should hug your neck.....I paid for it and went home, YEA I am a happy Nonnie and the kids will get penguins throws.

That is terrific. When you least expect it, the fabric you have been searching for suddenly pops up. Enjoy making all those throws.

You are one of a kind. Haven't heard of a quilter being served in a Walmart fabric department since most of the fabric was removed.

And the time I cut two yards myself and then took the bolt and the piece to the checkout resulted in another 45 minutes waiting-----------for what I don't know.

In the last two years, Walmart has been bringing the fabric depts. back. They received so much flak over removing the fabrics that they changed their mind about it. Only the smaller stores that never did have a real fabric dept. to begin with won't have one now.
