i just put the binding on my quilt and have never had this happen to me before but where i sewed the needle left large stitch holes i used a #14 needle and a new one at that do you think the size of my needle was to big? even though i have used this size before with no problem? also i was thinking has anyone done this before if i get my hole size under control has anyone ever done a meander stitch of some kind on the binding ?? was wondering how it would look

I have never had that happen to me either. What kind of fabric were you sewing on? I only use a size 14/90 needle for flannel. Otherwise I use a size 12/80 needle. A size 14 needle is larger around and would make a larger hole when it goes through the fabric. Try spritzing a little water on it-it will draw up the fabric and the holes should close.
