YES!!! This happens to me all the time. I say it is 'menahoonees'. The worst though was ALL of my MIL tax paperwork that is needed for her 2009 taxes!
I now keep a whiteboard marker in my bathroom to write on the mirror when I think of something while in the shower...whiteboard with marker attached on the frig.

No such place in my apartment. Instead, I have a very special place to store stuff. It's called SOMEPLACE. Once I've moved anything in there that whatever will most likely not be seen in next few years as noboby has been able to figure out where that someplace is yet.

Someplace is where i put all my stuff. It is a good place to keep things handy. Lol.
