Default I LOVE those big, big men!

And I adore those more flamboyant designers such as Hilfiger
I stopped by the Salvation Army yesterday and picked up some 3X men's shirts in some of the prettiest patterns (thanks Tommy). I wound up with 10. They were all still in great shape and I'm amazed at the amount of fabric for $2.50 each.
Makes ya kinda sick when I think of the cheap cotton fat quarters I recently bought. These shirts, even used, are much better quality and more economical.
Yay me!

What a fun idea! I might have to start expanding my search at the thrift shop. Ooooh!

I go to our local Saver's - a thrift shop which benefits Big Brothers/Big Sisters. They only take better quality items and price them amazingly low. I often go through the clothing department (Men's XXXL) for my shirting quilts. Of course, I wash everything in Oxi-Clean first!!

Great idea ... I'll have to expand my searches at the Thrift Shop! I have a 3XL SIL. I'm going to tell my DD to keep me in mind when he cleans out his closet!

I love shopping for unique things there. Recently I got a dozen of new pillow cases for 50 cents a pair. Still in their orginal packaging. All I saw though was 4 perfect fat quarters per pack. LOL I nearly knocked a lady over getting to them. They are all rich dark colors and they are just waiting for my right inspiration.

My aunt has been using her thrift store finds for years and has made some really beautiful quilts. Congrats on your find.
