Are you referring to the knot in your needle thread? I use it for all my sewing. I heard someone describe that it is like the needle is a snake about to swallow the end of the thread. You hold the needle and end of thread between thumb and finger, with other hand wrap the dangling thread round the needle several times, grab the 'windings' and pull down the needle (snake swallowing)--just continue to pull the 'windings' down the thread to the end. Makes a great knot. I wind 3 times for burying in the quilt sandwich. Is this what you are trying to remember? Wish I could demo. I'm sure it must be on you tube --everything is!
