Boy, have you come to the right place.
Go to the top of this page and click the "search" category.
Type in "Ohio Star" and get all the inspiration you need in the form of suggestions, pictures, tutorials.
When you're at a lost, remember the "search" category is your best friend. LOL

I made a scarlet and gray double irish chain and appliqued the block O in the center of the white blocks For my brother, and he absolutely loved it. He shows it off to evry visitor, and wraps himself in it for each game. This was a fairly quick and easy quilt to make.

I also made a USC quilt. I scanned the logo and then used Wonder Under to make a machine applique. I just edge stitched it..I'm not good at satin stitch. I did have USC fabric, But the blocks are just postitive and negative of the 2 colors.

Okay, I found an OSU quilt kit at the Quilt show in Columbus two weeks and bought it. It is not big enough but I can order the additional fabric to add to the sides from the store Creations Sew Clever. Also, I am a symmetrical person and the pattern wasn't exactly designed the way I wanted so I am attaching a picture of the way it was sold to me (small one) and then the way that I am making it with the block O's lined up better for me. I have also created an applique for the Buckeye leaves and Buckeyes to add to each block "O". Maybe this will help.
