I need your input on this idea for a quilt

I love, love, love your idea. I never thought of anything like that. We have space for a Christmas tree each year but I do have a few small "seasonal" quilts that I put up on my design wall at times but I never thought about a Christmas tree. I say go for it & start on it now as Christmas is just 5 months away & you want it to be ready for this year.

What a great idea. I remember that panel with the lights and I love Tartan’s idea with adding buttons so you can attach ornaments. I got rid of my big tree and lots of ornaments last year. I still have room but it was just to much work. I replaced it wit a tall skinny tree and I love how easy it is to put it all away. Merry Christmas in July!

I think it is a fantastic idea! So do you paperpiece? If so Trim the Tree has a really cute pattern. You can find it in three sizes and they also have another pattern of 3 " ornaments. Here is one on Amazon ....

Yes, it's a great idea. Perfect for a small space and little room needed to store it.
I bought but never put together a Christmas tree panel wall hanging like ThreeDogNight described with a battery pack.
Here's a link to a lighted tree panel: https://nichecreativestudio.com/shop...nel-wall-quilt
Here's a MSQC tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1KyuKQWqTU
and here's a link to etsy which has several types of panels: https://www.etsy.com/market/christmas_tree_panel.
I'm sure you could add lights to any panel.
