My DDIL works at Leisure Arts and has given me quilt books for many years. She used to get them free after they circulated throuhout their company. Now, they have occasional "yard sales" to the public and she gets them pennies on the dollar. It has been wonderful! You certainly did well with your purchase. I love bargains! This past week I got fabric at WalMart for $.87 yd and $1.00 yd and loved it.

I thought I was fortunate to find a nice copy of Little Brown Bird - for $22 including shipping! Yes, you did good.

Good score. I'm like duster and found LBB for $20.00 and free shipping several years ago and thought I hit a good score. You get the blue ribbon as champ. Enjoy your books. My local library doesn't even carry quilting books except fiction.

Very lucky lady! It is a great day to find a treasure hidden in plain sight. My library has few quilting books to start with so I will not count on finding such a great deal.

Speaking of "old" books, mags. I was at Joann's once and the associate was putting up new mags and taking down outdated...what I was surprised at....she cut off front page and then stacked. I asked what was to become of those mags she said back to publisher or whomever supplies store.......to bad they could not be offered to customers at a reduced price or something like a bonus with purchase of fabric or something..... I do know they do clearance books, caught a few at great prices....$2-$3 each....
