One of his beer buddies probably told him that it's a sought after antique.

Maybe he should tote it to one of those "Antique Road Shows" for an eye opener.

In defense of the machine, and NOT the seller, it is a Singer...Those puppies were built like a brick outhouse... run forever and can be oiled by the owner, instead of having to send it out....It isn't worth the price he is asking though......just sayin....

What is the red around the head of the machine?? Is it duct tape?? Must have something major wrong with it, don't ya think? I am going to inventory my sewing machine collection, maybe I could buy a new car!

I had a good laugh when reading this ad, thank you very much! I also sent him an email and told him whomever was the original owner should be ashamed because this machine hasn't been taken care.

Naw, alls he knows is that it is 'antique' and you know that 'antiques' are worth a lot of money!!! Besides it has that cabinet too! :-D

On Ebay a guy has an 1899 Singer handcrank machine that looks like it was hardly used, it's got all the beautiful scrolled decaling on it, original manual and accessories. He wants $1200 for it. Check it out!
