I just made a comfort quilt from my son's shirts (he died of melanoma in January) and it turned out so good that now I want to make quilts out of everything in my (and my husband's!) closet! Bought Bonnie Hunter's "Scraps and Shirttails" book and it is full of GREAT ideas for using thrift-shop clothes instead of expensive $10/yard fabric!

I've started my new shirts. All the pieces are cut and prepared and all that's left is assembly. I've only been quilting 8 1/2 years...even a year ago I didn't think I could ever do this.
