Default Experience with paper making HSTs?

I am just about to begin a project where I cut two rectangles 6.5 x 21 inches and then place a piece of paper and follow the lines with the sewing machine. When I am done, I cut the paper, peel off the pieces and press open 27 HSTs. They are produced by Laundry Basket Quilts and make many more HSTs at a time than Thangles. Anyone have experience with this method? Advantages? Disadvantages? Hints?

Love this method. Your points will be perfect because your HST will be perfect! Be sure to reduce your stitch length when you sew the paper. Be sure to pull "out" rather than "up" when removing the paper.

You can easily do this without having to purchase the papers; it's the way we all used to make multiple HSTs 'back in the day'.

for me the paper works.
As mentioned : sew with some smaller stitches.
I press open before removing the paper (someone's elses tip)
when I remove the paper I tear it from the top to the seam in half and then to the rigth and the left so the stitches don't come loose at the beginning and the end of the seam.
and I don't hesitate when pulling the paper off....like a bandaid: rip it off then less disstortion will occure I think
