Default I think I've lost my mind...

My DH has been having so much fun going for long, out-of-state motorcycle rides, leaving me at home (I'm usually very OK with that). So, I've decided I need a toy of my own, so I can go have fun, too. No, not a motorcycle... a vintage camper!! I want one something fierce. Can you picture it? A tricked-out trailer with darling curtains set in a beautiful place, with nothing to listen to but the singing of birds, the wind in the trees, and my vintage Bernina whirring along on something fun!

So, the question is: have I lost my mind? Does anybody else sew in a camper??

And if I find one, I'm going to have "Sew Happy" painted over the door!

Yes! I sew in my trailer all the time. I got cutting mat pieces that hook together like Legos,a travel iron,a fold- up ironing blanket. It works great.

For me the dream is a cabin in the woods. I would rather have all of the comforts of home in a remote location without all of the hassles of camping. Real toilet and hot running water are at the top of the list of comforts along with good lighting and unlimited electric outlets.

Sounds rather like my 200 year old cottage "in the pasture."
Bliss! <3

I've had my own cabin in the woods for over 40 years now. That's how I kept my sanity while the 4 boys were home. It was always a great get away, and still is. Tomorrow I'm leaving for 3 months. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm with those who do the "cabin in the woods." Sewing while up in n. MN is the greatest!

Vintage campers and Glampers are a hot item right now. It's a great idea. Google it & you'll be inspired!

Make it big enough for a longarm, too.

Go for it. That would work for me to. My goal is just to go somewhere where I can sit and sew all day and not worry about cleaning house or answering phone.
