    I took the plunge.......

And after almost hyperventilating in the store bought a Pfaff QE 4.2. So far, I'm in love. I hope it continues to be an amazing machine for me. The one thing I noticed is when I did a demo months ago, I thought she had a second plate to switch out for embroidery and fmq and my machine only came with one plate. Am I missing a plate?

No - the straight stitch plate is an optional extra, but was included with the extension table and extra feet during a promotion for the 4.0 a while back. I use my straight stitch plate 90% of the time, so well worth the investment. Enjoy your machine
Lang may yer lum reek. (I'm a knitter - hence - 'Knit-ette'. Confuses a lot of people!)

Don't know about the plate just wanted to say congratulations on the purchase of your new machine. Be sure to show of some of your finished projects. BrendaK
