My best buy on unexpected funds was a table-top cutting board. I love that it is big enough to fit big quilt squares on when I am putting them together to see how big my quilt will be (I am bad to enlarge my patterns from regular to king size).....Luv Jo Ann

CONGRATULATIONS - what luck. I think I would buy fabric, but check the sales out first so you can get the most bang for your buck. Or you could pick out a pattern and buy the fabric to make it. Again, congratulations.

If you don't have to spend it all at one time I would wait and try some patterns and then figure out what you need as far as rulers, bigger/smaller mats. To just go buy notion items before knowing if you need them might be a waste. I bought this double suction thing that holds the ruler and never use it because it covers the measurements that I need to see. Good idea but a bad purchase for me. Have fun.
