have you chained sewed only to find out your bobbin ran out?

I just did NOT sew triangles on 12 hexagon blocks.... Good thing I was sewing on dark purple so I could see the stitching and know which side was my NOT bias side..... HAHAHA

I had that happen the other night. It was about 8-9 pieces. It's so annoying!! My daughter was on the other side of the table talking to me and she didn't notice either!

Dont have that problem with my drop in bobbin. I can see just how much thread is left.
But with my new strait stitch on a frame it is a big problem. It has the metal bobbin case under the machine, cant see when runs out.

I'm lucky. My machine alerts me when I'm almost empty. But, it can be a pain too, when I have about 10" left to sew and it will only let me sew about 8 stitches at a time before the the alarm goes off again and it stops the machine.
