Default ARRRGUH!!Help please downloading a embry file from flash stick to Janome 11000

I am new to my Janome 11000 embroidery machine and have no trouble with the built in patterns, but when I download from my flash stick to my machine the machine does not read any files. The files are on the stick when I check it on my computer....It is soooo agravating any help would be greatly appreciated.

You might want to check out the Yahoo Memory Craft group -- there are a lot of 11000 folks there. I have the 9700 and because it is sooooo old I have to use the really small cards -- it can't read the new ones.

I agree with Buzzy Bee. You're probably using the wrong format for your machine.

My sister in law had the same problem. Not the machine. Make sure you are in embroidery mode before trying to use the memory stick or the computer. Simple but not in the manual that we could find. Called the store where she bought it and they walked her through it. Good lick. It is a wonderful machine.

When you load your pattern onto the stick it MUST be located in a folder for the machine to find it==guess why I know. If you somehow got the wrong format from emb lib you can go into your history and find the pattern and request it for the jef format--you can get any format for any pattern you buy once you actually buy it, they allow that incase you change machines. Enjoy.

Make sure you're in embroidery mode. And make sure the memory stick is formatted properly and you're putting your files in the correct folder on that memory stick. I had a lot of trouble with that myself. And remember, your machine reads .jef and .sew files, so check that as well. It takes a while, but once you get on to it, it's not bad at all to download and use files on a USB stick. Good luck!

I agree, you need to be in embroidery mode and the files in jef format in the specific folder on the flash drive. When I purchased my 11000, she also told me you could only use small flash drive, the larger capacity ones don't read or something. Hope you're able to figure it out.
