Grammyp, I love this! Is it a pattern or did you design it?

To me a rainbow quilt reminds me of chakras, so it would be a healing quilt.

Something as simple as placing rainbow color squares on the diagnal would be lovely. First row - put squares in proper color order. Beginning with the 2nd row, start moving each color over 1 block to start your diagnal layout. Continue doing this across each row. The pattern will show up almost immediately. Easy & beautiful.

If she saod "rainbow" I would strive to make her a rainbow.
Mke the center of the quilt a pieced rainbow 36" x 45" and surround it with blue and white blocks of your choice.

To me it would be one of whatever design but with the colors of the rainbow in order - like a rainbow. I like all the pictures shown so I would be hard pressed to choose just one!

I sent her this pic of the fabrics and she gave them her stamp of approval.

I like the idea of a dresden fan, with the fans being rays of bright colors! maybe on a sky blue background? :D :D

I was thinking the same thing -- a bargello. This picture is beautiful.

Went back & typed "rainbow" into the search on this forum and found this neat one.
