One of my goals this year is to master zippers - this video will really help! Thanks for the link.

Whether she is a minimalist or a clutter hound, they will always use totes. Make her a couple in her college colors and with a removable insert in the bottom. I would make 2 sizes, but both large enough to use for groceries. The removable bottom makes them easy to throw in the wash but also easy to roll up and keep in a purse or glove box of the car. With more and more places not allowing plastic bags and kids being more conscience of plastic, everyone can use large totes.

A friend of mine got her niece a year of Amazon Student Prime last year when she went across the country to college, it's $50 and her parents can order her anything she needs, their family loved it and found it perfect. Another pal got her nephew "a need, a want, and a luxury" so she got him a nice set of bath towels, a CD of his favorite band, and a gift card to the local pizza place down the street from his dorm.

Thanks everyone. As I said in my post, she is graduating from college and I wanted to make something for her. I decided to make her a tote using her college fabric that I ordered online. And I will make her a mug rug for her desk at her new job. And I will put in some cash! Great ideas from all of you!!!!
