I might get a large piece of foam core or cardboard and cut it to match the shape. I would hand sew with black thread along the black edge to the foam core. I would them put a nail or hook on the wall where I wanted to hang it and make a small hole in the back of the foam core to hang it.
p.s. Awesome wall hanging!

I agree that framing or spray gluing to foam board would work. The other option might be to make a criss-cross frame (like a kite frame). You can either sew it in or just make loops at each of the 4 points that are about 1/2" in from the edge; then, sew a hanging sleeve on top of that toward the top.

The Celtic knot one I made for my daughter, I put triangle pockets at each corner and then cut fairly thin dowel rods in the pockets and hung it from the top.
I've also just used push pins in the corners of small wall hangings. FYI - This is better suited to use in dry climates.
